Down by Law
1986 · TMDB 7.4
Directed by Jim Jarmusch
A disc jockey, a pimp and an Italian tourist escape from jail in New Orleans.
Why it matters
Three mismatched cellmates escape a New Orleans jail and wander into a Louisiana bayou, where they find a path that leads nowhere and everywhere. Jarmusch's black-and-white fairy tale is a road movie as a dead-end dream.
