What we collect

KinoChain stores the account details you provide (email, name, password hash), your profile (username, display name, bio, avatar), and the film activity you create (diary entries, ratings, reviews, lists, tags, follow relationships, and private viewing-memory details such as where and with whom you watched, cinema information, personal reflections, notes, and unpublished drafts).

How we use it

We use this information to run the service: authenticate you, show your journal and lists, respect your privacy settings, and display public activity to other members when you choose to share it. Location, companion, cinema, reflection, and draft details remain private to you unless a future feature explicitly asks you to share them.

Visibility

You control profile, diary, and list visibility (public, followers, or private). Public content may appear on film pages, member profiles, and the home feed. Private content, drafts, and viewing-memory details are only shown to you.

Cookies & sessions

We use session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from settings. This removes your profile, diary entries, lists, and related personal data from the live service.

Film metadata is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). KinoChain is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Read TMDB's terms at https://www.themoviedb.org/documentation/api/terms-of-use.
