Fantastic Mr. Fox
2009 · TMDB 7.8
Directed by Wes Anderson
The Fantastic Mr. Fox, bored with his current life, plans a heist against the three local farmers. The farmers, tired of sharing their chickens with the sly fox, seek revenge against him and his family.
Why it matters
Wes Anderson's stop-motion adaptation of Roald Dahl sends a vain, charming fox back to his old raiding habits and drags the whole woodland underground. The handcrafted look gives every burrow and cider cellar a tactile, lived-in weight.
