Snowpiercer

2013 · TMDB 6.9 · 설국열차

Directed by Bong Joon Ho

In a future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet, a class system evolves aboard the Snowpiercer; a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine.

Why it matters

Bong Joon-ho's adaptation of the French graphic novel places the last of humanity on a perpetually moving train, organised by carriage and enforced by myth. The engine is a god, and the order it maintains is a lie.
