The Shout
1978 · TMDB 6.0
Directed by Jerzy Skolimowski
A traveller by the name of Crossley forces himself upon a musician and his wife in a lonely part of Devon, and uses the aboriginal magic he has learned to displace his host.
Why it matters
Jerzy Skolimowski's unsettling tale of a mysterious stranger who claims to have killed with a scream. Its fractured narrative and eerie sound design make it a precursor to many modern psychological horrors.
