Before the multiverse had a use for her, Kara Zor-El's first outing wasn't framed as destiny, it was framed as a mistake to fix. She loses the Omegahedron, the power source keeping her home, Argo City, alive, and follows it to Earth not out of ambition but obligation: an entire pocket civilization's survival now rests on a teenager correcting her own error. There's no ceremony to it, no chosen-one framing, just a girl suddenly responsible for a world she didn't break on purpose and can't un-break by choice.

This chain follows that shape wherever it resurfaces: characters who inherit meaning, legacy, or responsibility they never applied for, and who spend the runtime carrying it rather than embracing it. The mantle is a debt nobody agreed to, held by whoever happened to be standing closest when the previous owner fell.
