Rabid
1977 · TMDB 6.3
Directed by David Cronenberg
A young woman develops a taste for human blood after experimental plastic surgery, and her victims turn into bloodthirsty zombies, leading into a city-wide epidemic.
Why it matters
Marilyn Chambers plays Rose, a woman who undergoes experimental surgery and wakes with a blood-hungry orifice in her armpit. David Cronenberg films Montreal as a city of clinics, taxis and cold apartments, and the disease moves through touch.
