Fincher had an incredible run between Alien 3 (which is the 2nd best Alien film after Aliens...yes it is. Shush) and The Social Network. I love this film. Unpicks easily if you think too much about it but who wants to do that when you can just go along for the ride?!

This is my favourite Fincher film. Foster, Stewart and Whittaker are on top form. Just a well told story.

Remember when they used to make great films that were only 1hr and 33mins long?! As good as it was in the 80s. And I don't think people can fully understand (unless they were young in the 80s) how cool saxophones were and oiled topless muscle men playing them even cooler.

I used to give John Grisham a wide berth but boy, this was great! Also.... The world's biggest villain is the USA and capitalism. The sooner we all learned this fact, the sooner we can rise up against these twin powers of evil.

Nightmarish

I remember the so-so reviews of this in the 90s and I remember kind of enjoying it but my word! What a film! Films like this just get better as the years pass, possibly because "big" films get crapper

Managed to watch it all this time. De-ageing is crap and just looks terrible. Why bother? In fact, all the CGI looks terrible. The horse chase? Awful. Any time CGI is used, just looks bad. Do you remember when films used to have real stunts in? These are all CGI and LOOK TERRIBLE! But most of all, the film is crap and the ending is truly bad. Makes you appreciate Kingdom of the Crystal Skull so much more (and that's still shit) Edit: wrote this during the final bit with the planes. Then that end scene happened. Sweeeeet jesus. Disney are absolute ballbags

First watch in a few years and it's still incredible. The roller skating scene is great. Hawkes, Hayek and Arquette are brilliant and Arquette smokes the hell out of a lot of cigarettes and looks cool doing it! Loved this film for nearly 30 years and it's STILL Rodriguez's best film!

Started well. Fizzled out towards the end. Great concept but seemed a little thin. Enjoyable Saturday night nonsense, none the less!

I enjoyed it until the last 30 mins. The ending was dumb
