Look at that cast! Three Pythons, one Goon, EL Wisty, a Young One, Frankenstein's monster, the thin white duke, Cheech and Chong AND Mrs Peacock. This is surely a misunderstood classic?! No it isn't. It's shit. I laughed when they introduced Mr Prostitute and that was about it. What a waste

Pretty decent although, fancy getting a nanny just after having a baby because you want to spend all your time building a greenhouse!

It's really the only choice for a rainy Sunday. Random bits: love Ian Malcolm's fogged up side of the windscreen. Nedry's fogged up glasses. The wobbly jelly. JURASSIC TENNIS!

Promises so much and in the end, is just a rehash of the original, the blueprint for all sequels to come. The bride has about 5 mins at the end which is a shame.

Love Cruise in his 80s roles. Not afraid to be a complete arsehole.

Contains the only correct answer to an invitation to play "crazy" golf. Lance and Ashfield are good and they're smoking those good 00s cigarettes (before they put the bad stuff in them). You know they're good ones because they're smoking them in hospital.

Looks great. Sounds even better. Imagine being George Lucas and watching this and the Elephant Man and thinking "this guy is the perfect choice to direct my film with dancing Ewoks"

This is the kind of Nolan I can get onboard with. Pacino, Williams and Swank are all great. But boy, do that hotel need to invest in black out blinds

A comedy version of a James Ellroy novel. Very funny. But it really deserves all the stars for: 1. Synchronised swimming scene 2. Alden Ehrenreich lasso and horse work 3. CHANNING TATUM'S TAP DANCE AND SONG!!! Incredible work

Enjoyed this more than the first time (although I was 15 the first time and disappointed it was nothing like Manhattan Murder Mystery). It's a good effort. It's the best looking Allen film. Great soundtrack. Has Jodie Foster, Kathy Bates, Lily Tomlin, Madonna AND Marge Simpson. Ends with mirror trickery like MMM (must have been watching Lady From Shanghai a lot) and magic tricks! Woody doing the coin trick at the end is fun too.

Elvis

It's gaudy! It's trashy! It's over the top! It's the most "Elvis" Elvis film of all time! Hanks and Butler are amazing. The soundtrack is incredible. Especially loved the first hour, Revival tent, Beale Street, the spotlight on segregation. Oh, and I bloody love Baz. This would be 5 stars if he'd trimmed it down by 30 mins.

Enjoyable version of the book. Not the best (that's the ITV mini-series from the 90s with Charles Dance, Emilia Fox and Diana Rigg) but Fontaine, Olivier, Anderson and Sanders are great. Nigel Bruce appears and bumbles around like he's wandered in from the Sherlock Holmes set, but that's a good thing. Lovely model work too.

Thought I'd give this a watch for the first time in 20 years. Thought maybe I was too hard on it at the time but it's really sub-par Spielberg and Cruise. And oh my word, the screaming. The constant screaming...

When I was 12, my sister left home and I moved into her bedroom. Among the things she left behind was The Wanderers soundtrack on cassette. I'd never heard of the film, but that soundtrack was on repeat, and it still is. It's packed with incredible songs. "My Boyfriend's Back" by the Angels was always my number one, "Sherry","Baby It's You", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Shout", "You Really Got A Hold Of Me". Thirty-four years later, I've finally got around to watching the film. I was expecting something like a grittier, rougher American Graffiti. Instead... It's shit. The soundtrack is still a banger, though. And Karen Allen is brilliant. Somehow I always knew she'd be the sort of woman who'd have been into early Dylan.

I loved it. Loads of fun. If nothing else, you've got to appreciate a superhero film series that puts a female superhero front and centre on film #2. It took Marvel 20

Very funny. Nathan Lane is amazing as is Hank Azaria. The ending just fizzles out to nothing though, which is a shame.

Even more fun than the first. Very silly. Rare to see someone truly enjoying a cigarette in films these days and I'm all for it

1 star for Eartha Kitt and Grace Jones. 1 star for the soundtrack. But this is shit, right?

Unexpectedly lovely and life-affirming. 00s Gosling was the best. An easier way for Lars to get over his general fear of being touched would have been to leave home at 18 and develop an over-reliance on alcohol. Makes all those problems disappear!

Theatrical cut. Coppola was on fire in the 80s! Beautifully shot, amazing music and the dancing is incredible!

Watched 2026-06-28

Another one of those 00s thrillers/procedurals that got slated on release but is actually decent enough. It's a shame these kinds of films aren't made by studios these days.

The staging was amazing and it was really funny in parts. The second half was better than the first though (the first dragged a bit) and my word, Wilde needed an editor.

Nothing you haven't seen before so far as the zombies go but it's a funny and lovely one, which makes a nice change.

Not sure why I missed this in 2001. This style of film seemed pretty commonplace 25 years ago so maybe it was that. Would love to see a 98 minute film with a bit of style being released today!

It's really good, obviously but the music?! Holy moly, it's an incredible score.
