Was expecting more from all the reviews I've seen over the last 29 years and the average 4 star rating on here. More than Gina Gershon playing the Jews/Jaw Harp in white Y-fronts, I hear you ask?! Yes. PTA made Hard Eight in the same year for half the budget.

Top 5 films of the 90s. John Cusack is awesome. As is Minnie Driver, Jeremy Piven, Joan Cusack, everyone! And it's got the best soundtrack of any film in the 90s too. Oh! And Dan Aykroyd is having the time of his life. I love offbeat 90s Aykroyd. He had some stinkers in the 90s but boy, was he good when he was good!!

Funny, sweet. Everything you'd expect from a Steve Martin film. Love how a lot of this stuff that seemed crazy in the 90s is commonplace now

Not sure how I've only just watched this! Used to enjoy the cartoon in the 90s (think they just spent 15 minutes doing that foot dance move thing). Lots of fun. Rap battle is great. Martin Lawrence is....really good?! Love a "one crazy night" film.

Not sure how I missed this one ain 99 but it's not bad! Kevin Bacon was great. Oh and then Paris turns up!

Imagine this being the film you make after Shallow Grave and Trainspotting! The 90s was pure crazy. It's all over the place but there's lots of good things here. And frankly, I'd take a hundred interesting misfires like this over AI generated slop from Netflix. If only studios in the 2020s were willing to take risks like this. The world would be a much better place for it. Oh and if nothing else, the soundtrack is amazing. The Ash title track is one of the best things about this (and I don't actually think it's used in the film!!)

Brilliant. Hall and Reilly are great. Paltrow was amazing in the 90s. PTA was 24 when he made this?! What an arse!

Not sure we fully appreciated films like this in the 90s. No flab to make it more than 2 hours. No sfx. Just a great story, well acted. Billy Bob Thornton is amazing

In 1989, Ghostbusters 2 rehashed the original's plot and it was fine. In 1990, Gremlins 2 went batshit crazy and it's bloody brilliant. So much fun

Watched this for the first time in the early 90s and it scared the crap out of me. What's not to love? Keifer, Julia and Kevin at their peak, loads of blue light and Oliver Platt, who is just brilliant.
