You're unlikely to see a better looking film than this but BOY IS IT DULL.

I'm far too old to be watching this on a Wednesday night but that's the most I laughed at a film for ages. Billy was awesome!

Directed by anyone else or produced by Netflix, this would have been an over-the-top, action-filled, 2+ hour monstrosity. But with Wes Craven, it's a taught, exciting, 81 minuter with the over-the-top action stuff saved for the climax. The preceeding 60 mins is a great 2 hander set in one location and he wrings out every bit of tension possible!

Great fun. Clever how RR used an election campaign 14 years in the future as inspiration.

I wasn't exactly expecting fun and japes but BOY, that was sad.

This is so....brown. It must be the brownest movie ever made. And every single person here is just an awful person. Crazy to think that just one year after Gabe was having the browniest, most miserable few months of his life his twin brother Larry was having a crazy fun time solving a muder with Diane Keaton

It's a wonderful film. The child actors are amazing. Proper child actors too, not awful, saccharine Hollywood nonsense. The dance scene is great and the whole film looks incredible! Wow Going to be saying "Woodsy bastard sons of bitches!" as much as possible!

Matt and Ben are great. There are occasional good bits but it has that big red N that = poo. Netflix really are the worst.

Great film. Difficult watch. Although the last 30 mins was easier to watch than the gutting of the cow at the start. I hope, ultimately, they won.

My first Akari film. What the F was that?! Terrible and brilliant at the same time. Rose MacGowan's insults were amazing. But yeah...er, ok! Miss crazy films like this from the 90s.

This is still great, 30 years on. I love Robert Rodriguez films. From the 90s to the late 00s, they were always fun. Clooney is brilliant as ever. The make-up, effects and puppet work looks amazing. A few points of order: 1. My dad watched this in 97/98 on VHS thinking it was a standard crime/QT film. Was a shock when it hits the hour mark. Would have loved to have gone into this not knowing what was happening! 2. Nerd Alert: I ripped my DVD of this to an MKV file and watched it via Plex. The DVD was a 480p (Plex reports it at 576p) and it looks great. HD hurts my eyes and I like a bit of grain on my films. All these jokers moaning when something isn't blu-ray or 4k are just talking crap. Plus DVDs cost about 60p from the charity shop these days. Snap them up! 3. The reason this isn't a 5-star film for me is Quentin Tarantino. As an actor, he's weak sauce, man. Truly truly the worst actor.

An OK documentary. I only know a bit about Hammer but the majority of stuffvI know was covered in here so I doubt it was particularly comprehensive. Could easily have a wikipedia entry.

This has been on my watchlist since 1999. Can't believe I've only just got around to watching. It's amazing. FW is amazing. JJ is is too. RZA's soundtrack is awesome. What a film!

Would've loved this back in the 90s. Oh and Lillard is da bomb

Not one of my favourites but loads of stuff to love. It looks amazing, B&W 80s New York in the rain is beautiful. Farrow is great and loved the ending!

This was one of those films that was written about endlessly in the pages of Empire magazine in the 90s, full of praise. I've always given it a wide-berth because it looked like mawkish, sentimental, American slop but when it was on TV the other day, I thought I'd give it a go. And... it's mawkish, sentimental, American slop. Yuck Although I enjoyed Ray Liotta and especially James Earl Jones

Really enjoyable. Funny, moving. Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin are great as was the music. Worth listening to BBC radio 3's sound of cinema interview with Rosenberg about the music choices in this film!

It's 36 years later and I'm still getting the feeling that America is completely fucked up. It's a 5 star film. If you don't agree, you're a literal moron. This bad boy has been on my letterboxd top 4 since 1994 and will continue to be in my top 4 until the year I die, which will be 2130. Also in top 5 for film soundtracks

Sofia Coppola makes films I want to watch. Definitely a companion piece to Marie Antoinette. Heartbreaking and a punch to the stomach for Elvis fans (like me!) The height difference is everything.

De Palma leaves me a little cold to be honest. Al Pacino is doing his "ol' Southern gent" accent for some reason. Oh, and worst needle drop for the end credits. Sean Penn is brilliant though.

I know Stan was the "comedy genius" but Hardy will always be my favourite. Silly fun

Enjoyed this 26 years ago. Less so now. Should've probably left it at lock stock, right?

It's a good film and looks great. Maybe in 92 it would've been a refreshing, revisionist take on the western but (and I realise the tv show Deadwood ran because this walked) Deadwood happened and I saw that first so, yeah. It's fine. Enjoyed Clint not being able to get on his horse though.

I thought this might be better than I'd heard, mainly because Peter Bradshaw had given it a 1 star review in The Guardian and up until the last third, it was a solid 3 star. That last third though was a gut punch. Blubbing like a baby at the end. Clooney is as good as ever and Sandler was brilliant. I like it when he stops putting on a stupid voice and making sick jokes and actually acts. The second Netflix film of 2025 I've seen with an interesting aspect ratio and one completely lost on the head of Netflix who wants people to watch on their phones and while they do something else.

Well, that was beautiful. Like Dead Poets Society but good instead of mawkish and trite. I reckon it'd sit well in a double feature with Sister Act 2. The soundtrack is incredible
